Yoga philosophy
Classical Hatha yoga will be taught in this class, including the classical yoga postures, their Indian Sanskrit names, translations, and the benefits of the postures. Although the class is given in a group setting, the yoga asanas are modified if/when necessary to meet each individual’s physical needs and/or limitations.
The majority of the time (40-45 minutes) will be spent on the physical postures, allowing for 10-15 minutes for the relaxation, breathing, and meditation.
